Online Privacy Guidelines

Protecting your privacy... at the core of our business

This is our policy as of September 2021. This privacy policy applies to individuals, and we reserve the right to revise or update any or all of the policies, along with related provisions, at any time.

You trust us with your financial and other personal information; we in turn are committed to respect your privacy and safeguard that information.

By adhering to the practices described below, we affirm our continuing commitment to protecting your privacy in accordance with industry standards.

Collection and Use of Shareholder Information

Sound Shore Fund (the "Fund") and the Fund's retirement account custodian collect only relevant information about the Fund's shareholders that the law allows or requires us to have in order to conduct our business and properly service you.

We collect non-public financial and other personal information about you from the following sources ("personal information"):

  • Information you provide on applications or other forms (for example, your name, address, social security number and birthdate)
  • Information derived from your transactions with us (for example, transaction amount, account balance and account number)
  • Information you provide to us if you access account information or conduct account transactions online (for example, password, account number, e-mail address, alternate telephone number)

Keeping Information Secure

We instituted and continuously maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your Personal Information, and we continually assess new technology with the aim of adding new safeguards to those we have in place.

Use of Personal and Financial Information by Us and Third Parties

We do not disclose, rent, sell or trade personal information about current or former customers or their accounts to any non-affiliated third parties, and we have policies and procedures intended to prevent the disclosure of such information to non-affiliated third parties unless necessary to support the operations and administration of the Fund, the Fund's compliance with applicable laws and regulations, or as otherwise permitted by law.

Those who may receive personal information include the companies that provide services to the Fund, such as transfer agency, technology and administrative services, as well as the investment adviser who is an affiliate of the Fund (collectively, "service providers").

You may also access and use a service providers’ website. For example, if you conduct a transaction, you would access the transfer agency’s web site. The transfer agency’s web site is operated and controlled by the transfer agency, not the Fund. The transfer agency’s services and web site are not governed by this privacy policy. You are advised to review and understand the transfer agency’s privacy policy.

Limiting employee access to information

We limit access to personal information on a “need to know” basis, meaning only to those employees of the service providers with a business reason to know such information.

Accuracy of Information

We strive to keep our records of your information accurate, and we take immediate steps to correct errors. If there are any inaccuracies in your statements or in any other communications from us, please contact us or contact your investment professional.
